India: Disappearance of Tigers from Sariska National Park in RajasthanHas poaching become big business? It is clear now that there had been lapses on the part of Government Officials including the States Chief Conservator and seven other Forest Department officials who have been put on suspension from service as of Ist April. The action against the eight Forest Department Officials came nearly two weeks after Prime Minister Mr. Manmohan Singh took serious note of the disappearance of tigers from Sariska and ordered a probe by Central Bureau Investigation. We hope this will put all the other forest officials of wildlife sancturies in India on alert which will help save the wildlife and eco-system.
