Top 10 Reasons why you should go Vegetarian

Your Friendly-Neighbor - The Spiderman is a Vegetarian. Boyishly handsome dark-haired Hollywood superstar Tobey Maguire emerged as an actor with a particularly promising career, which he solidified by landing the lead role in the Sam Raimi-directed "Spider-Man" (2002), based on the popular Marvel comic.

Vegetarianism is the diet of many popular film stars, musicians and athletes. Won't you join them?

® Because you wouldn’t eat your dog.
Most people are horrified that some cultures eat dogs or whales, but these animals are no different from the animals that you eat and they suffer the same. The difference is only cultural, not moral.

® Because meat causes heart disease.
Meat and dairy products are high in cholesterol and saturated fat. As these fatty substances, or “plaques,” build up inside the walls of arteries, blood flow to all areas of the body is impeded. This artery damage is called atherosclerosis. It often begins very early in life and develops gradually. When too little blood reaches various regions of the body, normal immune systems are impaired, setting people up for a number of diseases, most notably heart disease.

® Because eating meat and dairy products make you fat which also results in faster aging. That means you'll look older. Instead of skipping meals, spending all your free time at the gym, or trying potentially harmful diet programs to lose weight—go vegetarian! "The great thing about eating vegetarian is that typically, you can lose weight without actually cutting back on how much you eat," says Dr. Neal Barnard. Studies published in the Journal of Clinical Nutrition and the New England Journal of Medicine have found that vegetarians are far less likely to be overweight than meat-eaters. Even so-called "skinny meats" like fish and poultry are sky-high in fat compared to vegetarian foods!

® Because when animals feel pain, they scream, too.
If you burn them, they feel it. If you give them electric shocks, they feel it. Other animals feel pain in the same way and to the same degree that we humans do. Put yourself in their position, imagine your hands and legs being tied and your throat being slit inch by inch with a sharp knife. Just a small cut on our body make us cry, how would it be to cut our neck? Click here to see how animals are slaughtered Remember Until you stop buying, the killing will continue!

® Because it isn’t fair.
Simply put, killing other animals is an act of exploitation and violence, and we do it only because we have the power to.

® Because it takes a small person to beat a defenseless animal ... and an even smaller person to eat one.
If you’re eating meat, you are paying others to commit acts so cruel that if committed against dogs or cats, they would warrant felony cruelty charges in most U.S. states.

® Because the grain used to feed animals could be used to feed hungry people.
A full 80 percent of U.S. agricultural land is used to raise chickens, pigs, and other farmed animals; 70 percent of grains produced are used to feed them. If the massive quantities of grain, soy, and corn now fed to factory-farmed animals were freed up, there would be plenty of food for the world’s starving people.

® Because mad cow disease is in the U.S. and is spreading worldwide
Any animal with a brain could contract a version of mad cow disease, yet millions of pigs and chickens are still being fed the remains of diseased animals—in violation of World Health Organization recommendations and the laws of Europe and Japan.

® Because in every package of chicken, there’s a little poop.
A USDA study found that 98 percent of broiler chicken carcasses had detectable levels of E. coli, indicating fecal contamination. Boycott KFC (the so called Kentucky Fried Chicken, a Chain of Restaurants all over the world; is actually a chain of Torture houses. PETA rightly calls it Kentucky Fried Cruelty Read More)

Vegetarianism not only spares billions of animals from horrific suffering, but also spares your waistline. Simply put, meat and dairy products can make you fat, cause heart disease, put a major damper on your sex life, and destroy the environment.
