Poland: Campaign against Canada's seal cull - 2006

Association Empatia has been involved in the campaign against Canada's seal cull since 2004. This year the campaign goes national as Empatia teams up with Viva!.

The main protest will take place in front of Canadian embassy on the 15th of March

During the protest we will hand our petition to the ambassador of Canada in which we call for ban on the hunt.

On the very same day people in 123 different places in Poland will hand 60,000 leaflets and put up thousands of posters prepared exclusively for the occasion.

This is the biggest protest of this kind in Poland. Every year we get significant media coverage. All leading newspapers publish protests' reports, we give a large number of radio interviews and the seal cull makes the TV news.

We will also put pressure on the Polish government to ban the import of any products that will be the result of seals death.
