Japan admits whale meat is going to the dogs

In a statement responding to WDCS's recent press release, the authorities in Japan have admitted that some meat from their whale hunts is being turned into pet food.

However, in a remarkable twist of logic - given that Japan acknowledges that meat from both its coastal and scientific whaling programmes is being used in pet food it also strongly criticises environmentalists and the media for bringing this issue to the public's attention. ...
