Don’t Legalize Dog Meat and Dog Farms in Korea

The Korean Dog Meat Association has estimated a staggering 20 thousand dog farms and 6 million dogs being bred for human consumption in South Korea alone. Though in 1984, the South Korean government mandated a law classifying dog meat as ‘repugnant food,’ the country has long held a notoriously laissez-faire approach in dealing with the issue of edible dogs.

The Korean Dog Meat Organization demonstrates an obvious lack of interest in animal rights as well as sanitary and health concerns for humans. So it is high time for the government to stop the efforts of the Korean Dog Meat Association from legalizing dog farms and dog meat...
