'Wolves, get out of France!'

Stingray - pixelio.de

7 September 2011

That's what sheep farmers in the French Alps may think because they are blaming wolves for dead sheep.

Even though the EU reimburses the loss of a sheep with 130 euros and it isn't absolutely clear if wolves, wild dogs or other predators are behind the attacks on flocks, the wolves are now definitely moving into the danger zone if the past treatment of imported bears in France is anything to go by.
