Israel: Religious leaders for more respect for nature

Representatives from Jewish, Muslim and Christian communities and politicians met yesterday in an effort to promote better ecological cooperation and raise awareness that respect for nature is 'equivalent to a respect for God'.

JC International Director of Interreligious Affairs Rabbi David Rosen: "“We do not own anything in the end and we are purely temporary tenants in this world, and whatever we think we own is temporary. And surely death itself and the natural decay of the physical world should be a continuous reminder of that.”
