USA: Largest number of turtle nests found on coast in single day

Officials found 26 Kemp’s ridley sea turtle nests Wednesday along the Texas coast — the largest number found on a single day since recording began.

Fourteen of the nests were found along Padre Island National Seashore. Three were found north of the national seashore.......
