Son of the founder of the Baskin & Robbins ice cream empire, John Robbins gave up that empire to focus on his writings and promoting a healthy and conscious lifestyle.

He became world famous both as a brilliant speaker, being keynote speaker at many conferences, and also as author of bestsellers like "The Food Revolution", "Diet for a new America" and "Healthy at 100".

For 2009, John Robbins has accepted the challenge of being patron of the World Vegetarian Week, giving a new impulse to this idea.

The World Vegetarian Week 2009 is expected to take place in several countries worldwide, and John Robbins invites you join it: "For a healthier You and a healthier Planet, go Vegetarian, promote the Vegetarian Week: October 1-7!"
