India: Vegetarians in Mumbai demand meat-free malls

"We feel that non-vegetarians should have separate malls. It should not be kept in the same mall,” says a resident of Mumbai and a vegetarian Vimla Zaveri.

This is the latest battle between vegetarians and non-vegetarians in Mumbai. Pro-vegetarian groups like the Maharashtra Gopalan Samiti have launched a campaign against malls selling non-vegetarian items.

"We are totally against non-vegetarian. Why should you kill and eat,” says president, Maharashtra Gopalan Samiti, Vinod Gupta....
