Korea: Dog meat

The office for Government Policy Coordination to suspend legalization of dog meat

The office for Government Policy Coordination to suspend the legalization of dog meat.

The scheme to hygienically control the dog meat promoted by the office for Government Policy Coordination, which we informed you last time, is heard to have been suspended.

Although this is not publicly announced yet, we heard the news from the government personnel closely concerned with this issue. One of AFK's members, who works as a journalist, questioned the person in charge from the Office for Government Policy Coordination and his answer was that the office for government policy coordination will not be involved in the dog meat issue anymore. This means that the office for government policy coordination will not promote the legalization of dog meat.

This is the result of the hearty effors of all animal friends, and we do appreciate everyone for the hard work.

Thank you very much!

Sincerely,
Hee-kyung Jo

President
