Sri Lanka: A Hunter who Abjured MEAT

This Sri Lankan tribal chief made a choice that makes him different from a hunter-gatherer tradition that spans 40,000 years. He turned vegetarian: "I used to eat meat. And I killed a wild boar that destroyed my crop. But when I pierced into the boar's stomach. I found that it was a she-boar, pregnant and with 14 foetuses. I realized I had killed not one animal, but 15," he says in his tongue.

And now he does not even touch an egg, adds his son...
