USA: The trend toward vegetarian eating in this country is clearly growing and becoming more visible

A plant-based diet tends to be low in fat, high in fiber and rich in vitamins and minerals. If you were to start a sensible vegetarian diet today you could expect to:
- lose a little weight ? perhaps as much as a pound a week until you approach your ideal weight.

- see an improvement in your cholesterol profile after about 8 to 10 weeks.

- have significantly lower blood pressure after about six week....
