In China vegetarianism has been around since at least the 7th century

...and in 2010 Prime Minister Wen_Jiabao even proposed a nationwide campaign of one meatless day per week.

Also in other countries the interest in alternatives to the traditional meat-heavy ways of life is growing. Initiatives and campaigns are mushrooming almost everywhere.

There are solid indications that in Western countries 'Peak-Meat' is behind us.
