Mexico: Does meat really poison athletes?

23 August 2011

A slaughterhouse has been closed after the discovery of cattle contaminated with clenbuterol.

According to the federal Health Department a staggering 68 percent of the animals at the slaughterhouse in Cuernavaca had the anabolic agent.

This fact will add weight to the national soccer federation's declaration that tainted meat has caused the positive tests of some players.

Yet another reason for going veg!
