Canada: Government makes great efforts to support the meat industryUpdate 11 July 2012 - Pork producers in the US, Australia and New Zealand have called for Canada to ditch its pork subsidies before entering into the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP)------------------- 22 March 2012 After the Canadian government has already been very generous with tax-funded subsidies for beef farmers it's now the turn of Canadian Swine Exporters Association (CSEA) to enjoy a financial blessing of more than C$1.3 million. Parts of this generous contribution for the promotion of the nation's meat trade will pay for CSEA members' trips to the International Livestock and Dairy Expo in Vietnam....
