Ritual slaugher in the Netherlands: No more 'unacceptable suffering for animals'?

The Dutch Party for the Animals tabled a bill demanding a ban on kosher and halal slaughter methods.

In the meantime other parties have joined the campaign and a decision if cruelty to animals is acceptable in the name of religious freedom is expected at the end of April.
