Dutch NGOs call for food tax to reduce dairy, meat consumption

In the Netherlands, Both ENDS, CIWF, Cordaid, Nederlandse Dierenbescherming, Greenpeace Nederland, ICCO, IUCN, Milieudefensie (FoE), Natuur en Milieu, Oxfam Novib, Solidaridad, Varkens in Nood, Nederlandse Vegetariersbond and Wakker Dier called on MPs to aim to cut consumption of meat, fish, dairy and eggs by at least 33% by 2020 to help tackle climate change and animal welfare abuse.

They want a tax on all such products....
