Here is a random compilation of some of the comments received:

**from India: "This is an urgent appeal for the future of humanity, the animals and the planet!"

**from Australia: "This is urgent! To not act on this is inhumane. Move your arses before we all die!"

**from Canada: "The data is conclusive. A vegetarian/vegan diet is the FASTEST way to curb world hunger, improve health, end the climate crisis and put human beings into their hearts knowing that animals cry when they are killed. They have feelings too. Thanks Europe for leading the way. God bless you."

**from Austria: "start thinking, stop killing"

**from Switzerland: "It would be about time if this topic were addressed in relation to our world problems!"

** from USA: "If humans decide to save animals, they will in fact be saving themselves - if they decide to continue killing animals to sustain a meat eating habit, they will destroy the planet and themselves."

** from Australia: "Why kill to live when even more can live without killing?"

**from Brazil: "Animals are not ours to eat or mistreat in any way, it´s their planet too!"

**from USA: "If Americans were to reduce their meat consumption by only 10 % for one year, it would free at least 12 million tons of grain for human consumption. That is enough to feed 60 million people....."

**from Austria: "According to the ADA (American Dietetic Association) and the BMA (British Medical Association) a well balanced 100 % plant based diet is ok for all stages in life, including from pregnancy through to old age. Please note this fact and take it seriously. Ignoring it is not just stupid, it's criminal."

**from Austria: "Is it really so hard to choose human life over a hamburger?"

**from Australia: "This action is urgently needed. Please take our request seriously."

**from Brazil: "People need to open their eyes to the reality of their lifestyles and makes choices that support the sustainability of all life on Planet Earth. Only by changing our habits and our deepest conditionings can we really transform our society into one of peace, sustainability and balance."

**from Australia: "This is one of the simplest and most logical avenues available to us, with the potential to curb massive suffering. Millions upon millions of healthy vegetarians around the world are living evidence that a plant-based diet provides all the nutrients that the human body needs. It's about time we looked to real and sustainable solutions if we are serious about eliminating the suffering of the hungry populations."

**from Bahamas: "A vegan/ vegetarian lifestyle is the only way forward if we are to eradicate the immeasurable suffering of starving people, the planet, and factory farmed animals."

**from Australia: "Please can we stop eating animals and disperse the grains and proteins to feed the world a vegetarian diet - if we did this there would be no world hunger! It makes perfect sense to me and I am not a rocket scientist!! Feed the world and save the animals!! We all deserve it!"

**from Botswana: "Act now!!!, or else it shall be too late..."

**from Australia: "It is intolerable that more than 800 million people throughout the world, and particularly in developing countries, do not have enough food to meet their basic nutritional needs. This situation is definitely unacceptable. Also the impact of the livestock industry on global warming is alarming."

**from Canada: "Carnivorism requires murdering animals that do not belong to the human species. It is well past time when all humans should disavow it."

**from Australia: "The petition is very crucial to the survival of the inhabitants of the earth and the salvation of the Planet earth."

**from Canada: "The UNO has got to seriously consider the implications of sheer wastage by developed countries without regard to the effects of their causing such misery worldover."

**from Australia: "The urgency of addressing the nutritional needs of the millions of starving people in the world is paramount, and must outweigh any selfish concerns of those who are taking food from the mouths of these growing numbers of people."

**from Canada: "Thank you for giving me this opportunity to sign this important petition."

**from Switzerland: "Stop this cannibalism, go vegan!"
